The ISSYH 11 will
involve thirty young people, nine lecturers, six leaders of traditional artisan
craft workshops and six program leaders. The program includes educational, working
and recreational activities. The purpose of ISSYH 11 is to offer theoretical
and practical support to the understanding of plural society, the various bases
of tolerance, and the protection of cultural difference in societies based upon
the rule of law and democratically elected systems of governance. During their
practical activities, participants will be included in long/term projects of
learning how to value, preserve and restore the cultural and natural heritage
of Stolac and its environment.
The program will
also involve six workshops: the Eighth Stolac Woodcarving Workshop; the Ninth
Workshop on The Podgrad Mill, the Fifth Stolac Workshop on Metal Artisan
Crafts, the Third Workshop on the HIDR II house, the Third Stone Carving
Workshop and the Third Workshop
on the Vernacular Architecture of the Stolac Region.
Activities
envisaged for this year include the Third Archery and Falconry course.
