THE ELEVENTH INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL on YOUTH AND HERITAGE

29th July – 10th August 2016 Stolac, Mostar, Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina

International Forum Bosnia, with the co-operation and support of a number of organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the Eleventh International Summer School on Youth and Heritage, 2016. The program will take place in Stolac from 29th July till 10thAugust 2016.

The ISSYH 11 will involve thirty young people, nine lecturers, six leaders of traditional artisan craft workshops and six program leaders. The program includes educational, working and recreational activities. The purpose of ISSYH 11 is to offer theoretical and practical support to the understanding of plural society, the various bases of tolerance, and the protection of cultural difference in societies based upon the rule of law and democratically elected systems of governance. During their practical activities, participants will be included in long/term projects of learning how to value, preserve and restore the cultural and natural heritage of Stolac and its environment.

The program will also involve six workshops: the Eighth Stolac Woodcarving Workshop; the Ninth Workshop on The Podgrad Mill, the Fifth Stolac Workshop on Metal Artisan Crafts, the Third Workshop on the HIDR II house, the Third Stone Carving Workshop and the Third Workshop on the Vernacular Architecture of the Stolac Region.


Activities envisaged for this year include the Third Archery and Falconry course.

Green Theology and Ecological Stewardship A Conversation with Lejla Demiri, Rusmir Mahmutćehajić, and Timothy Winter It is our honour to invite members and friends of International Forum Bosnia and the general public to a Conversation on Green Theology and Ecological Stewardship between Professor Lejla Demiri of Tübingen University (Germany), Professor Rusmir Mahmutćehajić of International Forum Bosnia (Sarajevo), and Professor Timothy Winter (Sheik Abdulhakim) of Cambridge University. Report on the 12th Sarajevo UN World Interfaith Harmony Week International Forum Bosnia held as announced its programme of events to mark the 12th Sarajevo UN World Interfaith Harmony Week. The key theme of this year's programme was Global Ethics: Urgent Questions and Challenges.
The 12th Sarajevo UN World Interfaith Harmony Week Global Ethics: Urgent Questions and Challenges. International Forum Bosnia will be holding a programme of events to mark the 12th Sarajevo UN World Interfaith Harmony Week this year in response to the appeal by the UN General Assembly session held on October 20, 2010, to member-states. While International Forum Bosnia will, as usual, be organising and coordinating the activities, a number of other national and international organisations and societies will also be participating and contributing. The key themes of this year''s programme are summed up in the title: Global Ethics: Urgent Questions and Challenges. The programme will take place on Wednesday the 5th of February and Thursday the 12th of February.
Sixth International Colloquium on Bosnian Oral Tradition in World Culture We are pleased to inform members and friends of International Forum Bosnia that the Sixth International Colloquium on Bosnian Oral Tradition in World Culture will be held on December 9 (Saturday), to start at 11 a.m. The colloquium will be held in the meeting room of International Forum Bosnia (Sime Milutinovića 10/III).
